    Description: Read the Petition of Maria Gill, 15 years of age, of the Parish of Spitalfields. She was brought by an officer with a certificate from Mr. Hardy, Clerk of the Tapers Newgate, stating that she had been convicted of stealing a shift & a sheet from her Mistress Mrs. Dupree, No. 20 Princes street Spitalfields; and that sentence had been respited, that she might be delivered to the Refuge. She seemed very pertinent; declared it to be her first offence, & that she was altogether free from criminal connexion [sic] with men. Admitted.
