POLLY KABINSKY, Breaking Peace > wounding, 19th March 1912.

KABINSKY, Polly (29, cigarette maker) pleaded guilty, of feloniously throwing corrosive fluid upon Abraham Kabinsky with intent to do him some grievous bodily harm.

Prosecutor was stated not to be permanently injured. It was urged on prisoner's behalf that the act was done under great provocation, the prosecutor (her husband) having deserted her with three children to support.

Sentence: Six months' hard labour.
