HENRY JOHN DARKIN was indicted for stealing, on the 24th of January, 2 pairs of shoes, value 12s.; 1 hamper, value 9s.; and 29 bottles, value 2s. 3d.; the goods of Edward Whateley:—also, on the 22nd of January, three yards of oil-cloth, value 4s., the goods of Thomas Pallet; to both of which he pleaded
