GEORGE                   CARTER                                                                                                             was indicted for                                                          feloniously stealing, on the 12th of October                     , a truck, value 4 l.             the property of                                                       Stephen                      Palmer                                                                                                                              .</p>               <p>                                                STEPHEN                   PALMER                                                                                       . On the 1st of October, the prisoner came and hired a truck of me at threepence per hour. I make trucks for myself. He said, he wanted to move a chest of drawers; I let him have a truck; he was to return it at eight o'clock at night. He said, he lived at 12, Christopher-street, Holywell Mount. He never returned with the truck. I saw the truck afterwards in the New Cut, Lambeth, and to day I have seen it at the New Inn, over the way; I am sure it is my truck.</p>               <p>MR. DUKE. I live in the New Cut, Lambeth. The prisoner came to sell this truck on the next day; I stopped him and the truck.
