Thomas Finch, Elizabeth Finch, Theft > grand larceny, 8th July 1713.

Thomas Finch and Elizabeth Finch were both indicted for feloniously stealing six Dozen of Thread-laces, value 4 s. the Goods of Elias Oneby . It appear'd that the Prisoners came to the Prosecutor's Shop and asked for Gartering; that while the Prosecutor's Wife turn'd her Back to reach some, Tho. Finch took the Goods, and went away without buying any thing; but being brought back upon Suspicion, he drop'd the Laces from him. The Fact being plain against him, the Jury found him Guilty to the value of 10 d. but nothing appearing against the Woman she was acquitted .
