466. JOHN MOORE was indicted for stealing, on the 12th of January , 1 handkerchief, value 3s., the goods of Daniel Mesman , from his person .

DANIEL MESMAN . On the 12th of January, about half-past three o'clock, I was crossing towards the Haymarket; a man tapped me on the shoulder, said "You have lost your handkerchief, and here is the lad I saw pick your pocket;" I turned, and he had my handkerchief; I took it, and collared the prisoner - I gave him to the officer with it.

GEORGE WATSON . I saw the prosecutor passing Piccadilly ; the prisoner and another walked close behind him - I watched, and saw the prisoner take the handkerchief from the pocket; I told the gentleman.

WILLIAM LONDON . I am an officer, and took the prisoner.(Property produced and sworn to.)

GUILTY . Aged 16. - Transported for Seven Years .
