691. JOSEPH BELL was indicted for stealing, on the 10th of March , one pair of stockings, value 1s. 3d. , the goods of Thomas Miller .
GEORGE EDWARD MORDAUNT . I am an officer. I took the prisoner into custody, on another charge, and found the stockings on him, which Miller claimed before the Magistrate. Since that, my house has been burnt down, and the property also burnt.
NOT GUILTY .
