<hi rend="italic">Haswell's Defence.</hi> I was looking after a situation—this prisoner, my brother-in-law, came with me, and we were coming through the passage—I stopped, land he went on before me—I was four yards from him at the time—I came up, seeing a mob, and a gentleman laid hold on me.</p>
