<p>JOHN ISHERWOOD sworn. - I am an Exciselocker: On the 27th of July, at nine in the morning, I was at the warehouse of Messrs. Brandons, in which are kept coffee and cocoa; the prisoner was at work there as a

<join result="persNameOccupation" targOrder="Y" targets="t18010916-123-defend784 t18010916-123-deflabel639"/>; when he came out of the warehouse I rubbed him down, as he was going to breakfast; I found a quantity of raw coffee concealed in a bag in his hat; there were three pounds and a half of it; I delivered it to the Customhouse-locker. (The coffee produced.)(Mr. Isaac Brandon proved the firm as stated in the indictment.)</p>
<p>The prisoner did not say any thing in his defence.</p>
