Elizabeth Hopley , and Elizabeth Boyl, alias Young , of St. Margarets Westminster , were both Indicted for feloniously Stealing a Silver Tankard, a Silver Cup, two Silver Salts, with other things , the Goods of Roger Hollis on the 7th of October last. They were a 2d time Indicted for stealing 3 Silver Spoons and 18 s. in Mony , the Goods and Mony of Samuel Smith , on the 20th of September last. The Evidence to the 1st depos'd. That the Prisoners went to the Prosecutor's House to her Lodgings, That Hopley went up Stairs with the Prosecutor's Servant, and left Boyl below. That while they were above, Boyl unlock'd a Closet Door, and took the Goods, and when Hopley came down they went off with them. The Evidence to the 2d. Indictment, was her own Confession before the Justice. The Jury found them both Guilty of both Indictments.
Elizabeth Boyl, was again Indicted for Stealing a Mantua, Silk hood, with other Things , the Goods of Bethia Cray , on the 21st of October last: The Fact being clearly prov'd upon the Prisoner, the Jury found her Guilty to the value of 10 d.
