241. DANIEL MITCHELL DAVIDSON, COSMO WILLIAM GORDON , and JOSEPH WINDLE COLE were indicted for unlawfully conspiring to cheat and defraud divers persons, and for obtaining goods under false pretences.

(The Hon. C. WILDE stated that at this prosecution was undertaken by the Corporation, in order that there should be no failure of justice, in the event of an acquittal in the cases already disposed of, and as those cases had resulted in the conviction of the defendants, he did not propose to offer any evidence upon these indictments.)
