704. CHARLES WHITMORE was indicted for embezzlement.
FREDERICK WALTERS . I am a pork-butcher, and live in Goswell-street-road, and have a milk walk—the prisoner was my errand-boy—he never paid me this money received from Mary Davis.
MARY DAVIS . I paid the prisoner, for his master, 16s. 3 1/2 d., when he brought the milk in the morning—I saw Mary Atkins, who lives near me, pay him 5 1/2 d. at the same time.
FREDERICK WALTERS re-examined. I asked the prisoner for these sums, and he said they had not paid him.
RICHARD MOSS . The prisoner was given into my custody for stealing a spoon.
GUILTY .† Aged 12.— Transported for Seven Years.—Parkhurst.
