193. CORNELIUS DONOUGHUE was indicted for stealing, on the 22nd of November, 1 pair of trowsers, value 1l., of George Alderson.
JOSEPH HARRISON . I am in the service of Mr. George Alderson, No. 13,
Wellington-street, Borough. On the 22nd of November, about nine o'clock at night, the prisoner came in and took the trowsers—he went out—I pursued him, and he was taken by the policeman—these are the trowsers.
JAMES ANDREWS . I am a police-constable. I was watching the prisoner—I saw him go into the shop, and come out with the trowsers—he threw them down at the end of Thomas-street, and I took him.
GUILTY. Aged 16.—Recommended to mercy by the Jury. — Confined Three Months.
