465. GEORGE WESTLAKE was indicted for embezzlement .

GEORGE DURANT . I am a surgeon and a lecturer on anatomy . I authorised the prisoner to receive 50l. from a gentleman named Wise - he told me he had received 40l., which he has never paid me; he was to receive it as my agent.
Cross-examined by MR. ADOLPHUS. Q.Was he not your attorney? A. Of course he was - I was informed he was an attorney; I had not employed him for any business before - I have since.
