1685. DANIEL HOLDING was indicted for stealing, on the 14th of September , 1 hat, value 9s., and 1 pair of gloves, value 1s. , the goods of Robert Blick .

ROBERT BLICK. I am a surgeon . On the 14th of September, about six o'clock at night, I missed this hat off a nail in the surgery, where I hung it at five o'clock; it was produced two days afterwards.

WILLIAM LEE . I am an officer. I saw the prisoner in the Old Bailey-yard, on the 14th of September, about half-past five o'clock - he had nothing then - I saw him a few minutes after six o'clock with this hat and gloves, covered with an apron.

JAMES ISAACS . I was with Lee - his account is correct.

Prisoner's Defence. A man offered me 2d. to sell it for him in Sharp's-alley.

GUILTY . Aged 16.
