577. ARTHUR DABBS was indicted for stealing, on the 24th of March , one trunk, value 3s. , the property of John Viney and Robert Viney .

JOHN VINEY . I am a trunk-maker , in partnership with Robert Viney , we live in St. Paul's Church-yard . On the 24th of March we lost a trunk,

JAMES RUSSELL . I was in the prosecutors' shop, and saw the prisoner come and take the trunk from the window and run off. I pursued and secured him with it.

Prisoner's Defence. I was intoxicated.

GUILTY . Aged 61.

Confined One Month , and Whipped .
