694. JOSEPH ROBERT YEOMAN was indicted for stealing, on the 12th of March , one quilt, value 2s., the goods of Esther Holding , in a lodging room .

ESTHER HOLDING . I live in New Inn-yard, Shoreditch . I let the prisoner a bed, at two shillings per week-the quilt I let with the lodging - He stopped there about five days, and paid - He left, and I missed the quilt, and found it at Mason's.

JAMES MASON . I am a pawnbroker, living at Shoreditch. I took a quilt in pledge, for one shilling, of the prisoner, on the 12th of March.

(Property produced and sworn to).

EDWARD BIRCHALL . I took the prisoner in charge - He said he pledged the quilt.

GUILTY . Aged 18.

Transported for Seven Years .
