John Brown , of St. Clements Danes , was indicted for breaking the Shop of Henry Powel , and stealing some pieces and parts of Silk Shoes value 12 s. the 30th of July last. The Prosecutor deposed his Shop Window was broken open and the things stollen. Another Evidence deposed that passing by the Prosecutor's House about one a Clock in the Morning, he perceived 3 Men lurking about the Shop, and one of them boring the Shutter; he went and fetch'd the Watch, and took the Prisoner with the things in a Bag. The Prisoner having nothing material to say in his Defence the Jury found him Guilty of the Indictment. Death .
