Cornelius Gough , of the Parish of St. Botolph Aldgate , was indicted for stealing 16 Yards of Callicoe , the Goods of William Casman , on the 24th of March last. It appear'd that the Prisoner was a Sailor on board the Ship, where Casman was a Passenger from Holland, and had some Callicoes, which he run to avoid Cullom ; and that the Prisoner carry'd a Piece ashore for him, and deliver'd it to him upon Demand, after which he challeng'd him for that in the Indictment; but he prov'd he had but one Piece, and so was acquitted .
