Elizabeth Walton of St. Sepulchres was indicted for privately stealing 25 Yards of China Silk, value 25 s. from the Shop of John Howard , on the 19th of June last. It appear'd, that the Prisoner with another Woman came to the Prosecutor's Shop pretending to buy Blankets, and when the Prosecutor carry'd the said other Woman into the back Shop; the Prisoner loitered behind, and took the Goods and put them up her Petticoats, which were discover'd and taken from her. The Evidence being positive, and the Prisoner saying nothing for her self, the Jury found her Guilty of the Indictment.
