William Kite , of London, was Indicted for committing a Rape on the Body of Elizabeth Berry , a Virgin of 7 Years of Age, on the 21st of December last . The first Evidence was a Surgeon, who depos'd that he was sent for to inspect the Child's Body, That he found that a Male had been with her, That a large penetration was made, and the Foul Disease given her. The Child depos'd, that she being sent to the Prisoner's House for a pint Pot, the Prisoner took her and laid her cross a table, and gain'd the knowledge of her Body. Another depos'd, That the Prisoner confess'd that he had had to do with the Child, and gave direction for a Surgeon in case he had injured her.
