Richard Downes , of the Parish of St. Andrew Holbourn , was indicted for Counterfeiting the Coin of this Kingdom , on the 16th of May last. It appeared that he drove this wicked Trade within a fortnight, till he was taken; that he did bespeak Dies, and a Skrew for a Mill; that he had been in Newgate before upon such Accounts. He had little to say in his own defence, the Jury found him guilty .
