John Wilder of the Parish of St. Anns Westminster , was Indicted of High-Treason, for that he, with Sarah Wilder , and Joseph Wynne , not yet taken, did Clip the Currant Coin of this Kingdom on the 9th of May last. The Evidence was his Son-in-law, who declared that he saw him Clip, and that the Shears were fixt in the middle of the Room where he did it. The Prisoner denied the Fact, and said he was maliciously prosecuted by his Wife, he having had some falling out with her; that she wasted his Goods, and her Son and she did spend it together. The Jury considering the matter fully, found him not guilty .
