James Collins of the Parish of St. Sepulchres , was Indicted for picking the Pocket of William Gardiner of 20 s. on the 3d of September last; that as he was going through Smithfield during the Fair, he was thrust up by the Hospital-Gate by a parcel of men; and that in the mean time his Pocket was pickt, and missing his Money, he laid hold of the Prisoner, suspecting that he had it, but said that he would not Swear it. The Jury found him not Guilty .
