Mary Smith of the Parish of St. Andrews Holbourn , was Indicted for feloniously stealing from Thomas Jessam four Pewter Dishes, four Pewter Plates, and a Pewter Porringer , on the 26th of August last. It appeared that the Prisoner did go down stairs into the Cellar, and take the Goods, and went her ways; but being pursued, she was taken in Holbourn with the Goods upon her. She denied the Fact, and said that she did know nothing of it; but that did not avail her, the Jury found her guilty to the value of 10 d.
