John Riggs alias Ricks of the Parish of Stepney , was indicted for Felony and Burglary, for breaking the House of John Smeaton at Seven of the Clock in the Night, the 31st day of January , and taking thence one Silk Gown, one Cloath Gown, Two Holland Smocks, and other Goods . The Evidence deposed, That the Prisoner was taken in the House with an Iron-Betty, and that he made a Pass with a Sword at the Prosecutor's Wife. The Prisoner had very little to say in his own behalf. So he was found guilty of Felony and Burglary.
