John Lang , of the Parish of St. Martins in the Fields , was Indicted for Robbing one Ann Mackallister on the High-way, and taking from her a Suit of Laced Head-Cloaths, on the 26th of July last ; it appeared that he met the Prosecutor near Charing-Cross , about Ten at Night, and he took and pulled her Head Cloaths off, and with a Knife gave her a very desperate Wound, almost cutting off her Nose, and all down her Check, in a lamentable manner; upon which he was seized and carried to the Round house, and going to search him, found under the Bench that he sat upon, the Womans Head-Cloaths: It was fully proved against him, the Jury found him Guilty of Felony and Robbery.
