Richard Arrowsmith of the Parish of St. Andrews Holbourn , was indicted for Felony and Burglarly in breaking the Chambers of the Worshipful Sir James Butler , Kt. on the 29th of March last, and taking thence a Gold Ring, with two Diamonds and an Emrauld, value six Pound, a Steel Seal, a Silver Bottle, and two Snuff Boxes . It appeared that the Chambers were broke open with a Lamp-iron; and the Goods were taken away which the Prisoner confest, and said that he would rely upon the Mercy of the Court; the Jury found him guilty .
